    He never really beat anyone, but he did have several title defenses (yes over nobodies) and you can't deny that he was a very skilled Cruiserweight.

    How many people could you really say are clearly greater than him besides Holy and De Leon? Maybe 2-3 guys, but going any further than that is selling him a bit short IMO.

    It's too bad we never saw Jirov/Gomez. I think Jirov would have stopped him.

      true, I forget how shallow the division is.

      some very talented fighters have passed through it, but not too many people stuck around to be highly accomplished there.

      Jirov's body attack would have been too much for Gomez, imo.

        Yep, nobody ever sticks around. That's really a testament to Holyfield's greatness there because Carlos De Leon fought as a Cruiserweight for so many years. You almost feel like he should be #1 by default. Holy just made such a significant impact in such a short time.

          Are we adding in fighters before the CW division was started that weighed200 and under or just sticking with the CW?
