I was recently shadow boxing and i got to thinking, "Damn, my arms are pretty short for my body." I only noticed this when I had my right arm up to my chin, my elbow didnt cover much of my body. I have always gotten exhausted when I try my best to reach my opponent. I also remember missing alot. Am I screwed? Do you guys know of any boxers with short arms?

short arms are better for inside fighting, so you might wanna work on closing down

god damn, i just looked in the mirror again with my right arm folded to my chin and it looks abnormally short and my elbow doesent cover ****. it also feels like it barely reaches, kinda tight. been boxing for 4 years and i barely noticed this. if any one can post pics of boxers with short arms with an angle showing their right or left hand up to their chin, ill donate 1k to you. thanks.Comment

Kostya Tszyu was 5'7 (maybe 5'6 1/2) with a 67 inch reach. Timing is a MUST as well as being elusive/tight defense.
Tua also had short arms. I still think the IKE fight took a lot out of him.Comment

Ricky Hatton (reach 65"), David Tua (reach 70") and Rocky Marciano (reach 67").
Paul Williams (reach 82") would have a 12" reach advantage over David Tua (reach 70") and a 15" reach advantage over Rocky Marciano (reach 67")
Usually White and Asian boxers have proportionately shorter arms than black fighters, although not always.Comment
