El Raton is one of the first boxers my dad watched growing up. He was one of the first big Mexican names back in the day, Mexican Boxing owes him for glamorizing the sport and helping make boxing what it is today, especially in Mexico. I hadn't watched T.V. in a couple of days and barely found out during the Chavez fight that he had passed. It is a big loss to Mexican boxing.
