While I understand that argument; it's one I've never liked.
I've never been a fan of the fighting past prime losses don't count. Well, then wins past prime don't count and suddenly Foreman loses his most notable accomplishment or Louis regaining the HW title as well.
Like I said, it's not wrong; it's just not a school of thought I agree with.Comment

Losses should count although in Ali's case it was blatantly obvious that he was not the same fighter at the end of his long career. I doubt anyone will try to make an argument that Trevor Berbick could've handled Ali in his prime. While I understand that argument; it's one I've never liked.

Tyson certainly does not belong in the top 5 based on his resume and longevity.
I'd rate him in the top 15 though.
What hurts Holyfield in my opinion is the fact that he never really had a great title reign (except at cruiserweight). He won the title (alphabet version) more times than anybody but he also lost it more times than anybody and never held it for a long period of time. His first reign as champion was good but heavily criticized at the time since he fought "old men" (Holmes and Foreman) and "journeymen" (Bert Cooper) who proved to be competitive.Comment
