How do you guys think Cotto is gonna react to this in regards to his next fight?

Part of me feels like now that he doesn't think he was legitimately beaten, he might have more confidence and have that swagger he had before he got stopped.

But part of me feels like this could become an unwelcomed distraction. If he gets into a war or words with Margarito, or if him and Arum's growing rift becomes worse it could definitely distract him.

I'm really hoping he just lets this go, and lets things happen. All this **** is out of his control, and he needs to focus on Clottey, otherwise he'll lose and what happened in the Tony fight won't even matter.

You make a good point. I hope Cotto doesn't get TOO distracted with this or things could go horrible for him.

Haha, figures people would rather argue over petty **** than discuss an actual situation that might make an impact on Cotto/Clottey.

Cotto might think Margarito was loaded, and assume he can "Tek Clottey's pouunchas" and end up getting TKOed again. He better try to box instead of trying to lug with Clottey.

I can't recall Cotto overlooking ANY opponent..and this won't be any different..

Cotto has also never been in this type of situation neither..but I think..bein the person he is..he always remains focused and will be determined to go 12 wit Clottey..but in the meanwhile he will be expressing himself about the situation wit Margarito..

I also hope that he doesn't pursue legal actions..it's pointless..and it's done!..might as well keep it movin and stick the focused Cotto that he's always been..

I totally agree. There is no way to prove anything, and trying to would be a distraction and a waste of money. The boxing public have spoken, that should be enough for his piece of mind.

Another distraction is Bob Arum..Cotto is humble and believes **** should be fair and boxers should only go in to the ring wit their own abilities!..but if Arum keeps defending Margarito..Cotto might be distracted in verbal feuds wit Bob..and hopefully that won't come in to play wit the Clottey fight!..

Yep that's a big concern, I said that in the original post.

That growing rift could either close or grow so big that it's beyond repair depending on how Arum handles this Margarito thing.
