I did not think Chambers was impressive at all. Peter on the other hand is finished. What a worthless tub of lard. If losing your belt doesn't motivate you to take training seriously you are worthless.

good victory for Chambers and not so good. Its a solid win over a big name guy, but as with Povetkin, Eddie refused to let his hands go. He landed 40% of the time ffs, why not throw 5 more punches a round; thats 50 more for the fight and landing at a 36% clip there is 18 more shots landed and it would look better for him. Thats how he almost lost this one to a draw and thats how he lost to Povetkin (that and Sasha was laying some solid shots on him when Eddie did open up, it was part Eddie, and part Alexander). A little more cardio and a dash more punches and Eddie is a dangerous dude to fight.

I agree. Eddie is lucky it was Peter tonight and a crappy Peter. That was pitiful by Chambers and only the fact that Peter came into this with a "I just want to win so I can eat more food" attitude allowed Eddie to win. Don't get me wrong. Peter is a worthless boxer. He isn't even a gatekeeper now. Pitiful. Eddie though has little to be proud of tonight.

I agree that Chambers need to let his hand go more, but maybe he was a little afraid to open up because Peter is a puncher?

                title shot

The better man won, Chambers didn't let his hands go as much because he was afraid of being knocked out, cant really blame him, he still did just enough to win. Im happy Eddie won now that i think about it because he will get a shot at one of the Klitschkos soon. If he doesnt lose between now and then. I prefer he fights Vitali so i can watch him get schooled and see his face full of blood. He is going to realize the hard way that in the day and age of the super heavywieght, he does not belong. The good big men rule the division now, not the good little men.

I think Chambers will beat Vitali. Chambers will show Vitali that he can't look half-ass like he did against Gomez, and Chambers is one of the few heavyweights that can make him pay.

whoa whoa, let's not get ahead of ourselves......yet. This version of Eddie doesn't beat Vitali or Wlad. A slightly slimmer and more active Eddie will beat Vitali but not Wlad. Eddie is a better boxer than both by leagues and he can beat Vitali by using Vitali's aggresion against him. Wlad is as aggresive as a jellyfish. You leave him alone and you'll lose the fight, but he won't sting you much. You come in at him and it can hurt like hell, but you could still pop his bubble and end it all. Eddie doesn't fight coming in at all really, and that would make for a horrible fight. But Vitali, a more dedicated Eddie (let's face it, no fighters in the heavyweights are more dedicated than the Klits) can slice and dice an aggresive Vitali and any version of Vitali can walk over Wlad whenever he wants.
