I lost respect for Roach. He's quoted as saying Marg should be banned for life, now he wants to train him? Didn't Rashad Holloway tell him Marg busted his orbital? Isn't that guy one of his best sparring guys? I put this right up there with him training mma guys.....pffft

You know, I have some mixed feelings about this. I want to forgive people for their mistakes. I feel Margarito knew about the wraps all along. I feel he used them in other fights, for sure the Cotto fight. I lost much respect for him but always will respect his "will" in the battles he's had. No way he should have an opportunity to fight sooner than his year sentence! I think Roach could teach him some self respect by being his trainer and show him how he can make an honest mans living in this sport by being a man and using his fighting talents. The Commish should void his record and let's see if Roach can make this 0and 0 fighter a real man and a real force in the sport.

I always thought that Roach was always in it for the dough, not that there's anything wrong with it.
Remember when he ditch Pac for his fight with Solis to train DelaHoya in PR for a fatter check.?
That tells alot about Roach.

remember freddie roach throwing a fit because margarito knocked out holloway in sparring and roach claimed margarito used plaster in sparring which makes no sense to me..........now he changes his tune once he talks to margarito.......how the hell did they communicate anyway they dont speak the same language......

Margarito is so full of ****. He's not crying cause he's innocent, he's crying cause he's desperate and he knows he's ****ed, and feels like a guy like Roach on his side could help him gain some credibility back.

Just heard the news that Roach is gonna train Margarito. As much as most fans hate him well he still deserves a shot at redemption and well we have no idea when he cheated or started except for the mosley fight. i admit i dont have as much respect for him because after it was found out that it was indeed plaster well its hard to believe he didnt know but well theres always the chance that perhaps he didnt. I'm still a fan of his because ive been for so long and i want to believe in him so hopefully with Roach he can find his way back! and for those saying that he should take a lie detector test thats a great idea! could be a possible way of knowing his involvement or lack of or how long he was aware that he was cheating.

Margarito knew, and its disgusting he is putting all the blame on his trainer... What a disgrace to boxing Margarito is, and I'm disappointed in Freddy Roach for falling for this bs. Maybe roach is a sellout who only cares about money, and not the health of the others who probably suffered beatings from Margarito and his wraps.
