Roy Jones Jr. will maybe fight the best pound for pound Mixed Martial Artist in the world, in a boxing fight.

I saw some of Silva's fights, and he looks like a good amateur, but nothing like a real professional. He wouldn't survive the first 3 rounds against Jones.JR

MMA and Boxing are too different, those sports are too hard to be world class in both.

Silva was KO'd by some bum back in 98 in his first pro fight. In this fight he's beating a guy who made his pro debut. No way would Silva last long against RJJ. That would be a complete mis-match.

This fight will not be a blowout. Considering Silva's boxing losses were 10 years ago and Roy's prime was almost that long ago, it wouldn't be a lopsided fight.

I fear Silva will beat Roy and then all the MMA lovers will use that to prove MMA fighters have better hands than boxers even though Roy is just a shell of the RJJ we all love.

But thats the separation between boxing and MMA, boxing you need your fists, knowledge, stamina, etc. MMA you need your experience in whatever the ****, hands, legs, heels, elbows, etc. You limit an MMA fighter and he's done. Boxing is like an art, and the ring is your CANVAS (pun intended).
