Chad Dawson?!

For some reason there are people on here who seem to be anally glued to him. All I hear is that Joe Calzaghe should have fought Chad, that Joe ducked Chad bla bla. Not one person has mentioned the Steve Bunce Phone interview with Hopkins who, and I quote, said “Chad isn’t even on my radar, I’m only after the big fights, I want Calzaghe or Jones next” (interview was done 1 week before the JC / RJJ fight).

Who on here has ever once accused Hopkins of ducking Chad?!!?

Come on people, as Steve Bunce says, ‘Chad can’t draw flies’. No one wants to fight him, and far from being afraid of him, it’s just no one is interested in bothering with Dawson, the man brings nothing to the table. Ok, so he’s a world champion, well yeah, so are a lot of people, and being a champion is far from being a draw.


Joe fought who he fought record intact. End of story. Not my favourite fighter by a long chalk, his style infuriated me, but you have to say, it worked. Discrediting his reputation because he didn’t fight Chad Dawson is quite frankly so ridiculous, it’s laugh-out-loud material.

He's a good fighter, i'd never say otherwise, but he's a long way off being a marquee fighter.

Im just puzzled as to why Joe gets so much negativity because he didnt want to fight him. It's such a strange one. Oh, and Joe gets slated for fightting 'old men' when he himself is 37. Where as Chad is what, 26/27 and is bumming about against Glen Johnson and Tarver who are two of the oldest chikens in the hatch!

Chad Dawson is talented and has good technique and speed, but i can't see him beating Calzaghe.
Calzaghe throws too many punches, it's hard to deal with that.

Chad was very respectful to Joe when he left and I really think Calzaghe hating has gone down. Larry's right, you should pick on Paul Williams fans instead.
