Sad. I have tried to be a Peter fan. The second Toney fight showed real growth. He is proving to be lazy. It doesn't matter what gifts you are given if you are do dang lazy to take advantage of them. I fear this is the end of the line for Sam.

In any other era Sam Peter would be a fringe contender at best. I mean, seriously. Eddie Chambers isn't even half of a prime Chris Byrd. And this is what we have in the top 10? God Help Us.

Most European heavyweights come in shape. You don't see pot bellies on Dimitrenko, Koeber, Kretschmann, Pala, the Roths, Boytsov, Platov, Krasniqi, etc.

A few heavyweights from everywhere are overweight, but a much higher percentage of Americans heavyweights have big bellies.

An athlete's stamina is obviously affected by the extra pounds. Peter will have trouble in the later rounds tonight...

Chambers comin in at 223 isn't that bad. This guy still goin to outbox Peter and be winkin at him the whole time. Love how he do that stuff in the ring. Chambers is 6'2 and compared to Estrada or Odlanier who are the same height but come in waaay ova 223. Were talkin 240-260 at 6'2? Chambers isn't all that bad but still like to see him under 220. Don't think it'll effect his stamina in the ring and I swear I'll kill someone if he does that **** he did in the later rounds against Povetkin. Just stand there ploddin forward not throwin anythin.

It's doubtful that he will stay in the top 10 after this fight unless he wins of course.

              Peter has gone downhill fast.

Damn it Sam... I actually like Peter, but he's making it hard for me to remain a fan. First he gets drilled by Klitschko and quits. I made excuses for him, and said he only quit because after he heard the open scoring he was discouraged to continue. But I really thought he'd be pumped to get back to his previous level, and possibly come in at a trim, low weight of 245 or so. 265? If Peter can't get Chambers out within 5 rounds (which I think he can), he's going to be gassed and getting his ears boxed off all night. Of course, he'll remain dangerous throughout with his great power advantage.

And I don't want to let Chambers off easy either. 223 is a far cry from 265, but it's still too much for a professional heavyweight of Chambers' stature. "Fast" Eddie has made this fight harder than it started out being, by coming in at one of the worst shapes of his career. Both of these guys weights show me that neither one has any respect for the other.

I predict a mid rounds stoppage by Sam Peter though.

I will bet you 5K that Peter beats Chambers if you like. (Although Peter's fat a55 doesn't deserve it!)

i'm not old enough to remember the 80's, but today's Over-weight division is garbage.

if you're training an overweight boxer and he has no skills, the least u can do is get that fat *** in the best shape of his life.
