Excellent Action. Holy for the first half of that round and Tua owned the last half of it.

I got the feeling watching that that Tua was just gonna unleash a life ending left hook.

        never seen that before.

        thanks , mr. pain.

i heard/read tua did very well against holy in sparring.

the time against tua also helped holy against tyson in their fight.

shame tua couldn't get a title shot with holy. i think fat boy could have pulled it off against the old man.

a tua-holy trilogy would have been a lot more pleasant than the ruiz-holy one......

Sparring Tua was a good way for Holyfield to get ready for Tyson, too bad we never got to see Tua/Holyfiled or Tua/Tyson. Those would have been some great wars for sure.

Saying that Tua could have beaten Holyfield or gave him a good fight is wishful thinking. Don't get me wrong, I'm a fan of Tua in his earlier days. But Tua was awful at times with fighters who could jab. Rahman gave him a very hard time as early as 1998. He was doing very little against Maskaev as well.

Agree, Holyfield was 2x the fighter Tua ever was. I think Holyfield KO's Tua easliy because he's tayolr made for Holyfield. I mean, Tua is like the poor mans Mike Tyson and we saw what the real Tyson did against Holyfield....

He wouldn't have stopped him, but I'd say he'd have outboxed him as long as he didn't become too macho for his own good, perhaps winning by 9 rounds to 3 or whatever. Tua just never had the fundamentals.
