No, because he's older, he's put in major work, and deserves the money. Cotto hasnt done that yet. Your just looking at it in a talent way but you have to look at it in an age and resume way. Its not like Mosley said that he wants no part of Williams. He just doesnt want him now.

Mosley is the type of guy that would get the big money fights and when you think he was about to retire, he would take Williams as his last fight. Come on now, you know that its not the same as Cotto. Lets be real here. I mean Mosley fought Winky twice at 154 where he clearly didnt belong and he fought Margarito when he looked like a monster. Now your going to say that he's ducking Williams at WW? I refuse to beleive that someone who fought Winky at 154 is scared of Williams at WW. Its money. If Williams was a money man then Shane would be all over that matchup

I sort of agree with everything except for If Williams was a money man then Shane would be all over that matchup Mosley is known for taking the shorter money just to fight tough fighters and prove himself. Example: He wanted to fight Margarito when margarito was "Invinceable" and "Feared" and just came off a TKO win over Cotto which no one knew anything about the handwraps at the time and marg was no DLH when it came to money. I believe Mosley when he says he wants the best, now he says he wants the big money and i respect that. He deserves the big money fight.

If it aint..? my bad......My point still remains that If they dont bring anything to the table how can Miguel and shane be ducking him, just like saying hatton or Pac ducking nate.

Well, I agree and disagree with that. You obviously dont have to prove to me that Shane is willing to fight anyone as my 1st post suggested. However, I disagree about the Margarito stuff. As great as Shane is and as much as he has accomplished, he was kind of on the outs at that time. He wasnt the big man in any way. He fought Margarito because he was the top guy and brought the biggest money. Who else was he going to fight and make more then Margarito? Margarito isnt Oscar but Arum can always produce some money and the fight was going to be big in LA. Again, money aside he had to take the fight anyway because he wasnt the big name. Now he is so its different.

If this was pre Margarito, I wouldnt be shocked at all if he took the Williams fight because it wouldve basically made him the man or close to it. Now that he is the man he just wants the big money again. If he didnt beat or fight Margarito then he wouldnt be turning down other fights. Thats why in some ways he had to fight Margarito to be in position to call shots and only want big money fights. If he hadnt fought Margarito then who would listen to Shane talk about all he wants is big money fights?

Nah, thats totally apples & oranges. Campbell can say that all the LW's are ducking him if he was still there but he cant say that at 140 because he hasnt fought anyone there and hasnt beat Pac, Hatton, or anyone that they have fought. Williams on the other hand has fought at WW and beat Margarito who destroyed Cotto. He's also about to fight another big time guy in Winky. While the Campbell win over Diaz is very good, its still not like Williams beating Winky & Margarito with plaster. My thing is that if you win you call the shots and if you lose then you dont. Mosley can do things because he's older, has put in work, and just beat Margarito. Cotto has some good wins but hasnt put in as much work as Mosley and he recently just got slaughtered. To me you should want to fight the elite guys then. Im not upset since he's fighting Clottey but after that he should fight Williams.

Im a Floyd fan and I always tell people the same about him. I say he can call the shots now and do what he wants because he's unbeaten but if he ever loses to anyone then he has to fight a guy like Cotto, Mosley, Williams, or so on to get his name back. Thats how it works. Thats what I basicaly was just telling the other guy about Shane fighting Margarito. Sure Shane is tough for doing that but he had to do that because he just lost to Cotto. How else can you get back to the top? Guys on here were saying that Cotto is a man for wanting to fight Clottey. I was saying "how"? He just lost. He has to fight the top guys to get back to the top. Thats how it works. Its nothing special behind it. Williams beat a top guy and to me the other top guys should want to fight him then.

I agree with your Mosley assesment, If williams wins big over Winky yes Cotto should fight him.... but not necesarilly after clottey though....too much potential bigfight like Cotto - floyd, Cotto-pac, or even Cotto-shane.

yeah but thats not fair. He's just going where he has a chance for better fights. He would be at WW for the next 2 years if Cotto, Floyd, Mosley, and all these guys say they will fight him. He's not going to stay there and just be looking around. I could see if he was at the other spots doing nothing but he's trying to fight major guys. I like it because it reminds me of the old days. I mean our boy Floyd use to say all the time that he could see himself jumping back & forths between LW & WW depending on what big fights are available but he never did it. I do think its harder for him then Williams because of size but Williams is real about it so I aint mad at him. I dont know how long it can last though. One day he will either look like a zombie at WW or he will look too fragile at MW, e****ally if he goes to SMW like he's been saying recently
