Why Japoneese Gloves...???

I read a Spanish article that said that Morales will NOT fight if they dont use a Japoneese brand. On the other hand Barrera wants to use the traditional Reyes brand 8 oz.

Whats the difference??
On the first fight I read that they flip a coin and Barrera won! Reyes gloves were used on that fight.

I think this time around it will be Japonnese gloves! Morales is not going for the coin flip this time.

supposedly reyes gloves dont fit el terribles hands right and have caused him injuries in the past
reyes gloves are know as punchers gloves
guess they put them together differnt ot something
but there is appearently some difference

why cant they both just wear different gloves??? Morales wears the ones he wants to and Barrera wears the ones he wants to.

Talk about thinking "outside the box" , hey not a bad idea and why not. I for one have never heard of fighters fighting each other, but each one using different gloves. Can anybody think of any professional boxing matches in the past where opposing fighters fought w/ their own glove of choice?

That is correct, there really isnt any real controversy. Morales' fists dont fit the Reyes gloves, that is actually more common than most of us think. Reyes Gloves only makes one size professional boxing glove.

The Reyes Glove forces him to be much more careful not to hit the wrong parts or his hands are gone and his activity level goes down.

An instance where that happened was when he fought Jesus Chavez. He injured both his hands in round 2.

Jeff Fenech also had the same problems with the Reyes.
