ROACH WANT CORTEZ AS REFEREE for Pacquiao-Hatton!

it's a bad move by roach to call for cortez to ref the fight, cortez has been less than par in the last 5-6 years. ever since he started his little catch phrase, " i'm fair but firm" and started making himself a celebrity ref, his quality of work has diminished and he has made bigger mistakes trying to correct smaller mistakes.
besides, the guy is practically blind, not seeing the obvious fouls in recent fights, to disqualifying a guy with no warning who didnt do anything wrong, he was sold by the other fighter, who was acting his way out of the fight because he had a broken nose and a bad ass cut. cortez is a **** ref now, and until he starts being more concerned with doing his job right instead of getting attention for being " fair and firm" ( what a joke) then and only then might he be worth a damn in the ring as a ref.
i'm calling for joes resignation after that soto fight, bad refereeing and bad judging is not only killing the sport, it's ruining peoples lives...........
cortez should be forced to retire with the way his body of work has been of late........Comment

The biggest ***ing crybaby on NSB is telling somebody else to stop crying. LOL.
Fact is, Cortez was indeed a biased ref that night. Mayweather commited much more fouls, yet was not penalized for them. He kept ducking below the waist line, kept turning his back, repeatedly used his elbows, etc...
Now im not saying the outcome would've been different had it been a different ref, but there is no way u can tell anyone with a straight face that Cortez did a good job reffing that night. Or that he wasnt biased.Last edited by deevel79; 03-26-2009, 12:35 PM.Comment
