Ricky Hatton obviously paid off the doctor without Khan even knowing. This will be soon discovered and will set the groundwork for Hatton vs Khan in 2010!

Amir was saying yesterday that he would be sparring with Pacquiao in April. Today he's saying he's been told he can't after all. You're reading too much into things.Comment

But Ricky's announcements which were less then polite to Khan based on the entire matter of sparring with Manny, are now made to look a little silly. That's all, no biggy.Comment

"Asked if he was upset with Khan, Hatton said: "On the contrary, I'm very proud of Amir for his last performance, against Marco Antonio Barrera."
Hatton added: "Amir Khan is a close friend. And it will remain that way. I don't blame Amir for training and sparring with Manny because it is a good thing for him."
With those bits left in you get a completely different impression. I'm not impressed by boxingscene's coverage of this at all.Comment

The boxingscene article about that gave a very false impression by quoting Hatton selectively. The full interview is here. Some bits that are missing from the boxingscene version:
"Asked if he was upset with Khan, Hatton said: "On the contrary, I'm very proud of Amir for his last performance, against Marco Antonio Barrera."
Hatton added: "Amir Khan is a close friend. And it will remain that way. I don't blame Amir for training and sparring with Manny because it is a good thing for him."

Ricky's made to look like he's having a dig when all one kind of quotes are collated together out of context like that. He's pretty respectful and makes valid points.Comment
