Or it can also be that Floyd was a light weight at the time, while Oscar was a MW. Yes it was a goal of Floyd's, but at the time, there was no way of it happening. Fortunately for Floyd, he was able to get his dream match, but unfortunately it came at the end of Oscars career.

Since leaving 130-135, Floyd hasnt even faced the best fighters in each weight-class he's campaigned at (and no, baldomir was not the best ww just because he was lineal).
