    ok, im bored...

im at my gf's house, she passed out early, im sitting here drinking captain morgans and coke, thinking up dumbass boxing questions.. this one should probably be in the boxing history section, but hell nobody is in there, so i will ask it here.. i just like to hear other peoples opinions.. do you think jack dempsey could have stacked up with the heavyweights of the past 50 years? i know he was light by todays standards and probaby would be considered a cruiserweight today... just like to hear other peoples opinions.. cause im sure alot of you have followed this sport for a longer period then i have, although i love it so much... anyways, id like to hear back from some of yall, thanks..

I think it's unfair to compare great Heavyweights of the past, to the modern era of Goliaths we have today.

Back in the day, guys like Louis, Johnson, and Dempsey were considered big men. By today's standards, they'd be Light Heavyweights or Cruiserweights.

Even guys from more recent eras like Frazier and Tyson seem small by comparison to these giants today.

yeah thats true bringer.. i would have loved to see marciano vs dempsey, talk about a brawl to the end.. one of them guys would have died in that ring haha... or a prime tyson vs prime the rock, although i think tyson would have ko'd him, still would have been fun to watch while it lasted

I'll tell you this much. My drunk, fat ass uncle would **** up most of the heavyweights of today. No bull****. I've seen the man fight.

I don't doubt most of the dominant HW's of past eras could clean up nowadays. The top HW's today are big as ****, but just ain't that good. The K bros can scrap, but smallish HW's wit power and some speed from BITD could KO Wlad. VK might give some of em a tougher test tho. BTW, my ***** is passed out too, so I'm postin here drinkin some Natty Lite.
