I'll respect Hatton as long as he does ANYTHING but holds. I can't stand him for that and find it sooo damn boring. He's like a welterweight John Ruiz at times. When he's throwing punches and leaping around with hooks, that's good! Hitting and holding, that's bad! I'll give him respect if he just bombs it out with Manny, and even more respect if he wins. Can't really hate on the guy outside of the ring, he seems like a cool dude.

exactly i think there both humble guys, that have tremendous respect for each other, i'm a big fan of manny, i just dont know why people are so mean spirited to ricky thats all

I'd be willing to bet that if you take Mayweather haters out of the equation you'd lose a huge percentage of the anti-Hatton chorus. At this point, that's pretty much par for the course and all you can really hope for.

People like the guy and when confronted with facts it's impossible to argue that he's had an above average career. So, you can just chalk up any hate he gets up to some people insisting on being irrational about him for reasons beyond his control.

You aren't feeling too confident are you? Hatton is a good fighter but Pacquiao is something else, he can't be beat by the likes of Hatton, the same way Chad Dawson would never be beat by the likes of Calzaghe. The difference is Hatton has huge balls but little else I'm afraid. btw I'm a Hatton fan too.
