What Are Your Official Floyd vs JMM Thoughts?

Ive been hearing alot of back & forths on this topic so what is everyone's final thoughts? Lets say the fight would take place at 144. Would it be dumb for Floyd to fight JMM in his 1st fight? Do you think that is a good tuneup fight? Do you think its an easy fight for Floyd or super tough for his 1st fight back. Would JMM prepare him for Pac? Alot of Floyd fans are starting to think this is a crazy matchup for Floyd's 1st fight because JMM is too good and he doesnt fight like Pac anyway so its a bad matchup for a tuneup. Some think he should still fight a guy like Berto and some think he should fight a guy like Jennings like Cotto did.

Here are my official thoughts. I actually think that people are throwing the word "tuneup" around too much. I mean all weve heard is a writer say that a source told him Floyd wants a "tuneup". I dont think Floyd wants a tuneup. Thats why I think he would fight someone like JMM right now. Some beleive that Floyd considers JMM as a tuneup but I dont beleive that Floyd would ever use the word tuneup for a JMM fight. I think people just heard stuff and are running with it. I think he wants to jump right back in it. I personaly dont want him to fight JMM for the simple fact that I think Floyd would kill him if he wants and I think he would suddenly be a favorite in a Pac fight instead of the underdog. I think he wants to be the underdog because it makes the fight bigger. The whole time at 1st I was saying that Id rather Floyd go straight to Pac. I wouldnt mind seeing that but I am starting to get slightly worried about that because it would be a super tough fight, e****ally with Pac being a lefty. I could see Pac jumping out early and winning the first couple of rounds of first 3 out of 4 rounds and then Floyd would have to rally. I think he could definatly do that and still stop him but thats definatly a scary fight to take right off the bat because you could be really rusty and just get caught with a straight left that you dont see.

Overall, I say Floyd should fight JMM. I would also like to see him fight Bradley but there isnt enough money for that. The only guy who makes sense is JMM. He could fight Collazo or Quintana for a tuneup since there Southpaws but I think those fights are a little too dangerous for your 1st fight back and Pac still might lose to Hatton so you basically would have fought them for nothing. The only good thing about fighting them is that he may win and not look great at it so people would pick him to lose against Pac which again, I think he would like. JMM is a beast and I think he's much bigger then people give him credit for. He's not Pac in terms of size but he's not far behind. He "physicaly" looks good at every weight to me when he moves up. His body looks very solid. I think he will look good at 144 which could make it a tough fight but I dont see a righty beating Floyd unless he's much bigger so I think it would be a perfect fight. Floyd beating Pac's nemesis and Pac destroying 2 guys who Floyd just beat

I'd love to see it happen. Would prefer 140 to 144/147, so long as Mayweather can still make that

It'd be something of a chess match, and I think Marquez's precision/speed combined with his heart would give Mayweather problems he hasn't faced before

I would favour Mayweather to win, as I would no matter who he was facing short of middleweight, but I think Marquez may be being overlooked somewhat

I'm a big Mayweather fan, but I would be rooting for Marquez in this one. Would be epic if he won, and I gravitate towards underdogs

I agree JMM is not a tune up...
that fight is a PPV fight..

But for the hell of it, Floyd should give his fans 1 fight for free...and JMM vs. Floyd would be a great free fight to see...

His tune up should be anybody who resembles his next opponent. period.
If he is fighting a southpaw next his tune up should be a southpaw.
If he is fighting a Orthodox fighter next then his tune up should be a Orthodox fighter.

For example if Mayweather plans on Fighting Pacquaio in November or December... His Tune should not be JMM because Pacquaio and JMM are 2 completely different fighters.. a perfect tune up for pacquaio would be a fighter like Yodsanan who is Asain southpaw just like Pacquaio.

A tune up in boxing is the same thing as a scrimmage in football..but the only different is in the tune up we keep score.

Marquez is my boy and I feel he may give Money May some problems, but I just can't see him winning, I'll root for him all the way, again I just can't see him winning. :[

I have no problem with Floyd fighting JMM. Floyd will be rusty no doubt and JMM wants a payday. It's a win for both.

Floyd claims he has never been pushed to his best game.SO Maybe JMM would be good.

I would rather see him taking care of JMM.That makes JMM-Hatton null and void leaving Mayweather with Hatton in the unlikely event of Hatton beating Pacman.I just want to see Floyd knocking out Hatton early.
