Why Not Roy Jones vs Bernard Hopkins in 2009??

I'm wondering why these 2 don't just fight and get it over with. IMO it would be a good fight for both guys to retire on. It's obvious neither guy is going to take a big fight with any of the younger Light Heavies, but being Roy is "still" hungry and Bernard coming off a big win against Pavlik, why not settle the score?

Would ya'll wanna see this fight and how does it go down?

Roy has to beat someone of elite to make himself relevant again in order for that to happen.... if he beats lacy, and gets a fight with jermain and somehow wins that... then we are talking

RJ can't handle Bhop at this point. Fight will never happen.

Bernard wouldn't get any credit for beating this version of Roy.

              1. Nobody wants to see this cuz we all kno it'd be on PPV and it wud be boring most likely
              2. We don't know if Roy can still compete at a high level. Both are handpicking opponents
              3. They can't agree on money

Roy should fight and TKO/Convincing UD Lacy and then atleast UD/SD Jermain Taylor. Then in early 2010 if Hopkins is still available then they should fight. As of now, Hopkins is not interested in a fight with Jones because of his real bad loss to Calzaghe, and Sheika was just a tune-up. If Jones can leave on that note(wins over Lacy, Taylor Hopkins) back to back then that'll be enough to redeem his other losses and he can finally retire his HOF career.

                    Jones is past it.

Hopkins would beat him pretty easily at this stage.

                    It won't ever happen.
