Yeah, Kirkland is quicker than Margarito and seems more viscous. But he also ate a lot of punches against Julio, like Margarito, that would be his biggest mistake.

I was also surprised with how he can get down to 147 and look better at that weight class than at 154. Most guy his age have looked drained at 147 and beg to fight at 154, yet Shane performs better at 147 than 154.

prior to the margarito bout, when everyone was 'fearing' for shane's well-being, a buddy of mine was worried about how much bigger Tony was but i remember telling him that shane had just fought at 154...that's when it dawned on me; this is a bad MFR playing the weight class game like that

Not to mention Shane had just knocked out Mayorga, who was about 170 or so. Even though Mayorga's chin isn't as good as Margarito's, he can take punishment...... Oh and he is a nutcase to.

Mosley. Kirkland's style is very similar to Margarito's, only his chin is a huge question mark.

No offense to Shane, but its easy to jump between 147-154 when 154 is thin. Outside of Kirkland and Angulo no1 else there is having significant fights. Forrest is in a cave somewhere and Oscar aint really a fighter anymore.
