now there are plenty of the many euro type belt holders at his wt class
that would barely be a step backwards.
but a barrera or breidis rematch is bigger money.

think some have conceded to the brit media false hype on this breidis
because he got lucky against the inmature boy wonder.
khans not ready for a legit top ten yet. and theres big money for less danger for the roach improved khan with a breidis rematch
You would think so, but the thing is has been mentioned. Khan got wobbled by Prescott's jab. So if that really is the sum of Khan's parts, he can't allow the dude to hit him. lol.

I like Khan a lot better against fighters he can 'fight tall' against and move in and out making all his physical advantages apparent. To beat Prescott he has to show us something none of his seen. His ability to control distance, get inside then outside without taking any damage against a taller guy.

I thought Prescott looked crap against Toledo he moves back in straight lines after he throws a punch with his hands around his arse. But he is a tough style match-up for Khan imo. But yeah you are basically right, in the cold light of day, if Khan can't beat Prescott, he's phucked, coz he ain't that good.

I think Khan would have an easier time and bigger payday against Katsidis imo, at this point.

I don't think he's quite ready for Katsidis yet, I think David or Julio Diaz or Alex Arthur would be the right tests for his next fight - then Katsidis, then Prescott.

This jab business is blown way out of proportion. For one thing, Prescott has a very hard jab - that was obvious in the Toledo fight. For another, if you move straight onto a hard jab it can do damage, whoever you are. Benn was knocked cold by a jab once, and lots of fighters have been rocked back on their heels by hard jabs. The real problem was Khan's lack of the fundamentals before he teamed up with Roach - not keeping his chin tucked in, not keeping his hands up, not rolling with punches, not clinching when he was hit with a good shot, poor stance, not using his own jab properly, throwing wild punches that left his chin moving straight onto counter-punches coming his way. All these things have already improved a lot under Roach, and in another two fights or so, I think he'll be ready for Prescott.

yes. i seen these massive improvements to.
for some reason some posters are not concidering how much the young roach improved khan has matured. also khan was able to get away from u.k. for awhile and train stateside where he was around boxers who put him in his proper place. where his brit hype did not follow him. then roach went over there and spent a few weeks with him.
he's serounded by too many "yes" people at home. and warrens always looking at the short term and could care less about getting proffesional trainers to keep khan grounded.

damnit khan take on a few other nobodies and some past prime guys and hopefully Prescott will lose a fight and khan can make that excuse to not fight him..i have zero confidence in Khan..Wouldnt it be funny if literally right after the bell to start the fight both guys come centre and Prescott unleashes a haymaker right and decks khan cold on Prescotts first swing lol...

Headline should have been Amir Khan asks Frank Warren to end his own career early.
