Linares is way to skilled for Lopez. Lopez is a great fighter but Jorge is that much better.

So far, Linares has accomplished squat, zilch, zip, nada, nothing. They practically handed him a world title in his last fight, AT 130 BY THE WAY HE MOVED UP TO 130, against some bum Wyber Garcia. Garcia was one of Edwin Valero's 1st round KO victims early in his career. Linares didn't look impressive in that fight. And aside from the knockout against Gamaliel Diaz, Linares didn't look too good in that fight either.

Ever since the Oscar Larios performance, basically the only Linares fight most people have seen, he has not looked that impressive again.

People rate this guy, as someone else put it the other day, on his potential. He has done nothing yet and people talk about him like he's an established fighter. He's still just a prospect.

Did I say a thing about Juanma? People don't talk about Juanma like they talk about Linares. Everyone talks about Linares like he's an established p4p or something.

Juanma at least won his world title against a prime defending world champion in DeLeon who was 34-1 (30 KOs) where as Linares beat Whyber Garcia. Juanma vs DeLeon was seen as a excellent match up, interesting fight, and many thought Juanma wasn't ready for that fight yet and would lose. He got respect by going in there and winning in impressive fashion. And since then he's been doing exactly what he did in that fight, destroy his opponents in the first round. Linares won his belt against some guy nobody ever heard of and everyone knew he would win, and he didn't look too impressive in doing so. Linares claim to fame is the Larios win, Larios is well past his prime.

and Linares has be unable to follow up his signature win where as Lopez has by fighting on Top Rank PPV and now on HBO.

I'm not even saying Lopez would beat Linares I'm just saying people talk about Linares like he's this great fighter when he's yet to accomplish something.
