My all time is Bernard Hopkins at best or for worst! Arturo Gatti being in 4 fight of the years in a 8yr span was instant spark! what a warrior. Micky Ward; The same...Regardless of the opposition or what ever fighter they were, their Gladiator like fighting style was like legends of the old. Now i got Juan Manuel Marquez growing on me for his determination and heart to do what most thought he couldn't..A lot like people did with Hopkins. Last but far from least..Manny Pacquiao. When this dude came on the scene, I thought,"This guy wont be around long". I see him getting better and better and more disciplined as well. Despite what haters think. Thats me Family!! 600

Larry Holmes - Possibly one of the most underrated and underappreciated heavyweights of all time. I just seriously think Holmes is a badass, he didn't care about who he insulted, he didn't care about what people thought of him as a person he just wanted to prove he was the best and he did it over and over again. He had tons of heart and took one of the biggest punches I've ever seen in my life off Shavers, how he got up from that still remains a mystery to me today. I also think it was bs how he got robbed on his 49th fight. I rate him as one of, if not the best HW of all time.
Manny Pacquiao - First time I watched him fight was against Barrera and this is when Barrera was seemingly invincible. Everyone was going on about Barrera and even I thought "yeah Barreras not gonna be losing for 4-5 years." then this little philipino named Manny Pacquiao comes and just OBLITERATES him I was in shock for about 4 weeks at what I had witnessed. Became a pac fan ever since the guy is a beast and has one of the most intimidating physiques I've ever seen he's pretty much like Bruce Lee in terms of his physique.
Floyd Mayweather jr - Watched this guy since he was a super featherweight, always knew he was gonna be ruling the P4P division in years to come. His defensive skills and speed are outrageous. Loved it when he destroyed Hatton. I also love how he is as a person, he plays the bad guy all the time but he's actually a very modest winner he never belittles his opponents after he beats them and when he combo'd the big show LOL epic.
Roberto Duran - Greatest Lightweight of all time IMO. The guy is machismo incarnated into human form, a true warrior and an ATG.
Bernard Hopkins - First time I even heard about b-hop was him losing against Jermain Taylor twice in controversial decisions (never saw the fights) and I remember thinking "he's like 36-37 now? yeah he's gonna retire" and then hearing off my friends he beat Tarver I was like "WTF". Started watching all his old fights and was cheering for him against Calzaghe (I thought he won 115-113 tbh) and then when he beat Pavlik (am a big pavlik fan) I was in awe at this guys talent, a true general of the ring and a great fighter I do sort of love to hate him though.
Mikkel Kessler - I remember watching this guy early on in his career and I srsly think he's the perfect warrior. He's good looking, has an awesome physique and brutal K.O power and was cheering for him to beat Calzaghe. The one thing I'll never forget in the Kessler vs Calzaghe fight was Kessler had the St Georges Flag on his shorts in sign of his Half-english heritage yet Calzaghe wasn't even wearing a BRITISH flag he had his Welsh flag and Italian boxers gloves on. Became a bit of a Calzaghe hater ever since tbh.
There's 100s more boxers I like aswell...
Tyson, V.Klitschko, Ali, Robinson, Chuvalo, Haye, Roy Jones Jr, Froch etc the list goes on and on.Last edited by TEDetc; 03-23-2009, 09:20 PM.

when I was a kid watching boxing with my Dad he was sparked by Roberto Duran. I got to watching him and the guy just hypnotizes you. He slipped punches, he seemed to have power in both hands. He destroyed people. But the interesting part was his personality. Dude was a braggard, a **** talker, hated and loved. The way he took out Davey Moore you could tell he really enjoyed it to. Duran was a badass!
Man I grew up when the Rocky series was out, **** was cool. I remember comin out of the theatre with my cousin after Rocky 4, both of us ready to kick some Russian Ass! **** got me ramped up for the next one which leads into the fact that for a very small window in time I actually thought Tommy Morrison was the real deal.
You know when he was comin up knockin the **** outta chumps, then the fight with big George. Then his chin got detonated by Ray Mercer. That dude KO'd all the sparked right outta Tommy Boy.
How bout Trinidad? You know if you seen him comin up at welterweight just KOing everyone this guy was somethin to watch
Jose Luis Castillo- the guy was brilliant at one point seeming to be able to mix it up and do it all then the first and second fight with Corrales. Holy ****, was this guy for real? His fights against a prime Mayweather were also classics. On a sidenote, I would have loved a Castillo vs Pac match up at 135

All 6 films were recorded in Northeast Philly, where I'm from.
I saw Stallone one day on Frankford Avenue when I was walking home from school. It was epic.

Meldrick Taylor:
I never got to see him fight live, but something about him I love. His dazzling speed and heart made me a huge fan of him...Just seeing him mixing it up with guys way more stronger then him and with his limited power show tremendous heart and is how IMO all fighters should be. Heartbreaking to see the state he's in now though.....

He could've easily outboxed damn near everybody he was in the ring with, but he was a Philadelphia fighter, and a true warrior.
Fighting the way he did throughout his career really took a toll on him.
