He hasn't fought in a while. Sparring and working out in the gym isn't the same as the actual fight. There's no way he wouldn't be rusty or be less sharp.

Imagine your mother not cooking for you for a whole year and comes back to the kitchen after a that long lay off to make your favorite dish. And it tastes a tad bit too salty, actually so salty that you look like your drinking Hennessy with a every bite. So you wished she would have first done some Tuna(Tune-Up) to exercise her hands and timing better so when she does your fave she doesent let the salt go so much. Mayweather without a tune up will leave you with a sour look in your face. Like Sturm-De La Hoya.
