      I agree.

Toney is just a loud-mouthed overrated jerk. He was lucky to receive many gift decisions (Tiberi, Batchelder, Oquendo, etc).

Calzaghe his a much better fighter then Toney who is a little overrated in my opinion. Calzaghe is undefeated. How many times has Toney lost.

            (PRIME) Tony

            Lost to:

            Tiberi
            Jones
            Griffin x2
            McCallum (103yo)
            Oquendo

            The list carries on.

Only moronic Ameri-bums would ever pick him over calzaghe, Benn or Eubank.

Defense is ****? Getting knocked down 3 times in 60+ fights is **** defense?

Let's actually try to analyze them. Calzaghe would try and outwork Toney from the beginning. But we've seen a southpaw try to outwork Toney and fail...Jirov. Joe can't hurt Toney, so trying to KO him is out of the question. SMW Toney had power, crazy hand/foot speed, impenetrable defense, a granite beard. How does Joe even get votes in this thread?

toney was a good fighter lets get it right, but he is no hopkins, calzaghe and definitely no jones.

those three were levels above him.

                  I agree.

And Toney ducked fighters, such as Benn, Eubank, Dariusz at light heavyweight, and JC Gomez at cruiserweight.

How many times did Joe fight an elite fighter in his prime?

dont compare calzaghe to jirov, that's an insult to joe.

sure jirov is bigger but calzaghe is much, much better than him and jirov only lost by a very slim margain (some even had him winning, including HBO).
