toney versus calzaghe at 168

Toney would win a decision. He was the kind of elusive boxer/counter puncher that would give Joe fits, and when he was in shape he could keep it up for the full 12 rounds. Joe is a good adaptable fighter, but that would be irrelavent when fighting someone who is versatile with that kind of hand speed, and i didn't see him adjust to either Reid or Hopkins(who both arguebally beat him). He punched hard enough to get Joe's respect as well.
Also, is this prime for prime? Believe it or not, the older Calzaghe has a better chance at beating a prime Toney. A prime Calzaghe gets owned.

I think Calzaghe would beat Toney purely because of his mobility. Toney could always slip punches and land countrs but Joe's in-and-out movement would evade Toney's counters and set him up for a good slapping. Joe wins a decision.

Wtf why so many votes for Calzaghe?
and why the hate for Toney?
Toney was an OLD SCHOOl fighter, 70+ fights, your bound to have bad nights here and there.. add in Toneys weight problem
were talking PRIME Toney here, meaning the one was a slick defensive/counter punching fighter with decent speed and power, NOT the weight drained version that fought Tiberi/Griffin x 2 etc..

why someone would not respect Toney's power at 168 is beyond me. He had more knockouts there than decision wins, and only 1 person went the distance in his successsful title defences.

1) At 23 years old James Toney knocked out probably the best fighter at that time in Michael Nunn, a guy that during his time was apparently dodged by other top fighters (benn, eubanks, roy jones)
2) Calzaghe can barely live with a 43 year old hopkins, split decision with robin reid, how the f.uck Is he gonna hurt a prime james toney, who went the distance with heavyweight hitters like sam peter.
Crazy ****, dont bother replying tho, i dont wanna hear it.
