I remember the furore about that. But £20 a day on food is enough, what was that **** eating, Lobster? and Travelodge's are alright, and it was only Monte Barret, haha.

That's what I was thinking of. And yeah that is shady as f.uck
if anyone else did it, the haye huggers would be whinning, if
the same thing happened to Haye.

According to Wlad's manager there will be a press conference next week to confirm the Wlad Haye fight.

**** cant give you any more good K.

£20 a day? thats shocking, he's a grown man f.ucks sake, and a heavyweight, those guys must eat loads, £20 in this economic climate only gets you a large dominos pizza, garlic bread, and choice of desert.

              I don't believe this article.

Wlad's assistant trainer says they are asking for two options (no rematches, but Haye is demanding two rematches), which is standard for voluntary defense opponents. Don King will always demand more, while Warren, Kohl and Goossen usually ask for two.

David Haye is afraid, and lying about this to cover it up. Wlad should look elsewhere for his next opponent, he's wasting too much time with Haye.

Interesting how Tony Thompson praised K-2 promotions for the way he was treated in Germany, while Monte Barrett said he was treated badly by Haye's people.

It shows again the Klitschkos have class, and Haye does not.

Haye may have said they put Barrett in a decent hotel and gave him $20 a day for food, but they are probably lying about that too. I'd take Monte's word over Haye's, that's for sure.

The standard in America is 50$ a day per diem, I don't know how much that works out to in pounds. Still, it's not quite the same as getting options on four future fights.

My take is, the Klitschkos hold the bargaining chips since Haye isn't a mandatory. If he doesn't want the terms - I'm no manager but it sounds rather rubbish - let him wait for the Povetkin vs. Estrada winner in June and fight someone else in the meantime. If Haye fights as the mandatory, there is no rematch clause or nothing. It's about negotiating and if he isn't happy about the terms, he can improve his bargaining positioning.

Do you know Monte personally enough to judge his character?

If so, which gym does he train out of?
