Why is it that a guy fights ten to twelve years in a single weight division and can't move up ONE class?

Why is it that a guy who comes in at 154 (fight night) can't fight at 147?

Are we making too many excuses for Hatton?

Thats the hard part about boxing.... You had fighters like Duran who might be the best lightweight of all time going up too much to fight the top comp in the sport at that time. People always like to poke fun of "No Mas" but fail to realize he outslugged the bigger SRL in fight 1. IMO Duran is a great example because his dimensions were not good for middleweight... He had a great punch at light and brought it to Middle but it just didn't have the same effect.

Ricky is short and has terrible reach disadvantages in most of his fights... Couple that with the fact that he doesn't have a great defense and a big *ss head and you get a bad formula at Welter. Its easy to hit him and he has to be as close as a foot and a half to do anything to you because his reach is 65... Thats why he holds alot... he needs to keep his opponents within reach. Ricky wouldn't beat any of the top 5 welters IMO but he can give Cotto a run for his money.

Just a Golden Boy Promotions plot to F@ck with Floyds money. JMM and Hatton are Promoted by them Golden girls.

haters need to put down the drugs already. and Cotto lost to the most overrated, slowest WW, wide punch throwing, punching bag in Margarito. how the hell is Cotto gonna beat Mayweather then??

No. That's bull****. That is an excuse. After TWELVE YEARS, you can move up ONE division.

Don't say "he's not that good at WW". Say "hatton is only good if he can bully his opponent". Dude is 154 on fight night, and campaigns at 140. At a certain point, you guys must stop coddling him and expect him to fight guys his own size. Or even bigger guys.

Pacquiao, Marquez, mayweather, Hopkins, delahoya, mosley, winky, roy, toney, etc all move through different weight divisions. But when it comes to hatton, you guys bubble-wrap him and make excuses for him to stay at the same weight class forever.

              Meh.

You say Floyd has been fighting smaller guys for years but then you are saying for him to come down to 140. Pick a weight class you want to see him in because you dont make sense.
just because you say in a post that Floyd could be a natural 140 fighter doesn't make it so. He has been fighting at 147 for a while. He was bigger than Hatton for their fight, quite a bit bigger.

I said Hatton should try to get Floyd to fight at 140 cuz that is the only weight that hatton has a chance to beat Floyd. I want to see Floyd fight wws. Don't care to see him fight Hatton at all really. Guess reading comprehension isn't your thing.

And Sekondz- there was not a single incorrect fact in my post.

I didn't mean you.......they know who they are!

bigger isn't always better though (no ****).......Floyd hasn't fought too many WW's....
Zab and Baldomir.....I think the Mitchell fight was at 147 and thats it........Hatton is naturally bigger than Floyd but Floyd is a far superior boxer....as I said, bigger is not always better.

                    .
No, he wasn't. Where'd you get that fiction?

Mayweather was 148. Hatton was 154.

mayweather gains no weight after weigh-in.

                      Jmm

Pacman beats hatton, he will be to fasT for hiM goin on the inside throwing straights and body shots and then quickly moving out of the way of hattons weak attempts to fire back with body punches, JMM would beat pacman in the third meetinG though,
