One of the greatest fights ive ever seen was an absolute war!!

    Cant stop smiling man,
was in a good old fashioned irish pub in dublin watching it,
and the atmosphere was like nothing i have ever experienced!
It was such an entertaining fight and brutal fight and dunne was a top class!
The drink was flowing come the eleventh round there was many a people holding back the tears!!

For anyone who didnt see it!!
    Watch it!!
    UNBELIVABLE!!!!
    Fight of the year
Same as myself! Watched it over a few pints in the local thinking Cordoba would win easily enough after watching his last fight. Only supported Dunne as an irishman before this, have never been to taken wit him but tonight he won me over big style. Great heart and a great KO. War Dunne!

      Dunne the new WBA Champion

Dunne has just won the WBA title in fantastic fashion.

Whether American readers view this a simply another scrap for an alphabet soup letter or not, they need to see this fight. Both fighters - Cordoba and Dunne - gave their all from Round One. This was a battle to be remembered - Cordoba being knocked down in third, Dunne twice in the fifth - which culminated in the Irishman destroying the Panamanian in the 11th Round. For the former champion it was a sorry end: he was led from the ring in a stretcher. But for the Dubliner, a man who has consistently insisted that he is a world class fighter, it was a moment of vindication. He summed it up post-fight by announcing that "this fight is for all of us."

Remember: he had a lot to prove tonight - the Irish rugby team had earlier won the Six Nations Crown. He pulled it off, in Irish fashion, in a war with the Panimanian.

Lets hope he can secure more super-banthamweight titles.

there was some buzz going round town because of the rugby teams win.
But Dunne topped it all off for us!
Was such a great site leaving the pub when it closed and all the nightclubs closed to see such a fantastic atmosphere on the streets people hugging and celebrating!

No, in the sense that the boxers involved do not have the same class of skills as JMM and Diaz. Yes, in the sense of heart, determination, action and excitement. A terrific fight.
