You're a hater, you just try to disguise it.

Agreed Dave. I've got mad respect for Gomez now. He did get outboxed and eventually beat down, but he never stopped trying. He has the heart of a lion. The first half of the fight was sloppy for a reason. Vitali had trouble with the southpaw stance and Gomez's well rounded defense. I scored round 1 even and the rest for Vitali, but in no way was JCG blown away like Peter was. He could give a ton of guys in the division fits.

I wonder two things. Seeing as how Teddy Atlas gave Vitali absolutely ****-squat for credit, will the rest of the media do the same?

Also. Would Wladimir have done as well against Gomez? JCG looked like allot better version of Tony Thompson and he gave Wladimir problems at first.

          Didn't Atlas give him credit?

What a moron. After Vitali found his range he completely dominated a game opponent. Vitali is the best HW in the world IMO. Better than Wlad again.

Brian Kenney did a good job, but Atlas was his usual biased narrow minded self. Kellerman would have been better IMO.

I watched it on the German language stream instead of the ESPN stream so I wouldn't need to listen to Teddy Atlas express his negativity and discredit Vitali.

I couldn't just turn down the volume, because I like to hear the crowd.

Wow, what a beatdown!!! I gotta say, Gomez showed a ton of heart in there. I couldnt believe he went as long as he did. I like watching Vitaly fight, he loves to brawl and always produces a k.o.
I agree about Atlas being more than stingy when it comes to giving the brothers any credit. In fact I cover this and "lapdog Joe Tessitore" in two recent columns at my site.

                  Check it out dudes...

co-sign.......and I like Wlad way more than Vitali, in fact....I can't stand him.....not for some ****** reason, well maybe it is ......I KNOW Wlad can get ALL those belts but Vitali has some how turned this into a 2 headed HW champ and thats not what the HW division needs or ever needed......Wlad was doin' a good job at runnin' the division alone.....Wlad won an olympic medal and to become the UNDISPUTED HW champ would be the ultimate career....no matter what! But Vitali.....who failed to make the Olympic team because of a POSITIVE doping test......and is best known for being ahead on the cards against a outta shape Lennox Lewis after 6 rounds.....in which he suffered a chopped up face that needed 60 something stitches......not hatin', but I think big brother is stealin' lil' bro's glory!
