Bernard Hopkins: The Executioner's Duck List

It's growing daily, so far on deck is....

1.Joe Calzaghe - Was awarded a controversial narrow points victory, bowed into retirement turning down farewell fight on home soil.

    2. Tomask Adamek - Ring champ and unarguably the man at crusierweight. Decisioned Steve Cunningham for IBF strap.

    3. Kelly Pavlik - Immediately afterwards Hopkins gave his sentiments for a rematch in which Lowe, Pavlik's trainer, reiterated Pavlik and camp, "would be moving back to middleweight where they belong."

    4. Antonio Tarver - As recently as 2007 Tarver has gone on board stating that he didnt need another fight with Hopkins, whom had shopped the fight in 2007.

    5. Ronald "Winky" Wright - Asked for another fight after he felt he won 2007 meeting in which he was granted by Hopkins, but then opted out, stating a Hopkins fight isnt a fight the fans want, hasnt fought since then.

No need for rematches wit Tarver, Winky, or Pavlik. I'd like the Joe C rematch, but I don't blame anybody who wouldn't wanna see it and I'm fine if it don't happen. The Adamek fight may yet be made, so no callin that a duck yet.

a farewell fight has to be a fight which would be interesting, i can't imagine hopkins-zaghe being interesting just another borefest tbh.

Calzaghe should have just fought dawson and gone

Most farewell fights arnt interesting, thats why they are farewell, they are hoping to win, besides I see a second fight being ten times more interesting, Hop would be more aggressive.

calzaghe would beat hopkins easier the 2nd time.

calzaghe came into that fight so overconfident "you think you could beat kessler?" he already put kessler above hopkins and you could see that during his ****y ****ing ringwalk. he sparred with nathan cleverly who fights nothing like hopkins, watched no tapes etc of hopkins.

if they fought again calzaghe already knows how to beat him after he adapted in the first fight, hopkins wont get a 2 round head start and hopkins will be even older.

Failed. Calzaghe has gone on record multiple times stating Hopkins was his hardest fight. In the corner dad thought they were gonna lose.
