yeah he should retire and stay retired, that way it really gives him a proper excuse as to why he wont give a rematch to hopkins............. because when he wasn't retired, all the excuses as to why he wasn't going to rematch or fight certain fighters were ducking tactics............ no one can blame a guy that has taken himself out of the game.................

i find it funny, that calzaghe and mayweather have both in a sense, emasculated themselves by retiring at the peak of their careers when there is so much left for them both in the sport..... and the reason i say emasculated is because, the tough guy routine image is over, they're not selling fights or going to fight, and they have removed themselves from the sport, so, the whole act of being tough and being a fighter this and that, serves no purpose now, because they're not going to do anything or showcase it in the ring, so now, whats the point, they've pulled themselves out of the race, which leaves no place for the tough guy stuff........................

Tysons best win is probably over fat ass Larry Holmes. His other wins are laughable.
Just because you don't know a single fighter from the 80s that isn't named Mike Tyson or Larry Holmes doesn't mean it was the worst. It just shows your pathetic knowledge of the sport mate.

And what in the blue hell does this have to do with Clownzaghe? This thread is about the cowardly clown of a slapping fighter called Calzaghe, and what an utter disgrace he is to the sport.

46-0 speaks louder than the whining of a bunch of childish haters.

He wouldn't beat the Klitchkos though. He'd teach Dawson a lesson.

They might not be the best heavyweights that ever lived but a guy that has been dropped on two ocassions in the first round by two former middleweights (and not the biggest LHWs either)...?

If you want Calzaghe to get respect you'd want him to stay retired, I see him getting more respect now than he did when he was still active

Calzaghe needed NO excuse in not giving Hopkins a rematch when he clearly won the first fight that was almost unwatchable because of Hopkins mauling, dirty tactics. Nobody is interested in seeing another fight that would be just as boring and Calzaghe would win again in similar fashion. The same people that think Hopkins won (in spite of being out punched and out landed 2 to 1) will also think he won the rematch, since neither fighter is going to get a KO.

Mayweather retired in his prime, but Joe Calzaghe is NO WAY near his prime anymore and he PROVED himself in the ring for over a decade! Joe's hand speed has slowed considerably, so have his reflexes and power do to his numerous hand and wrist injuries. His hands are always going to bother him for the rest of his life. Joe also lost the hunger to stay a top level fighter after being a Champion for over a decade that's to be expected!
