Imagine fighting Cotto and Hatton and knowing you have virtually no chance of gaining there respect with your punches.

That's heart. Factor in a broken jaw against Cotto, and Hatton nearly punching his head clean off his neck in round 2,and you have a **** load of heart.

There is something wrong with Malignaggi. He won the first round against ricky hatton, and looked like utter **** against him every other round... So, I'd probably pick Judah to win. And give hatton where credit is due, he is a good fighter and all but something is clearly physically and mentally wrong with Paulie.

don't get me wrong, i never questioned paulie's heart until after that fight, then i also saw the video of him saying he's in it for the money now.

To be fair, I think Hatton landed a KO punch in round 2, that would have done exactly that to most fighters.

The fight was done as contest then. Paulie knew he could be put away and he knew he didn't have the power to turn it around. Sucks to be Paulie fighting at elite level.

Whereas if Hatton done that to Judah, Judah could still turn it around, but he probably wouldn't have as he would have 'lost it'

you're only as good as your last fight, and against hatton he showed no heart, he wouldn't even fight back, but he cries when buddy stopped the fight........


and like i said, paulie has already said he's fighting for the money from here on out.....that says it all.

i dont think you understand what "heart" is. i never said he gave an amazing performance but he had PLENTY of heart for staying in there with hatton. as sparked mentioned, paulie doesnt have the power to turn the tide around and it was pretty evident he was getting beat up and losing. staying in a fight under those circumstances is a reflection of................... HEART!

him saying he's only fighting for money now is an indicator that he's probably not so passionate about the sport anymore and feels that he's done at the elite level.
