Assuming that the fight will happen at either 140 or 147....what would be the signifance of it? Would it mark the return of the king by achieving a feat that Noone including current p4p best Manny Pacquiao couldnt?? Or would there be too many other factors such as Marquez's age....size, weight that would keep it from being too significant?

It would be very impressive. I don't think size is much of a factor because Floyd isn't really a welterweight, he's a small one at that. Marquez looked great in his last fight so age shouldn't be a factor either.

i think if mayweather koed marquez at 140 there would and should be no arguments. Marquez has looked fantastic at 135 and is arguably p4p #1 if not definently # 2 or 3 in most peoples eyes. I think if the fight was made at 140 and mayweather came through it would be ideal to set up a fight with hatton or pacman at 140

i agree......maybe it'll quiet the haters for a few hours tho......i'd watch the fight, but marquez wouldn't be my first choice of opponent for floyd.

the KO itself wouldn't necessarily be impressive, but doing it after the layoff makes it more impressive than it might otherwise be.

Floyd can be an effective Welterweight, when Marquez is barely an effective Lightweight.
