I think this topic is ******, and is for ball-lickers. From a non-biased perspective he physically looked the same

It's easier to look good over someone who hadnt fought in two years and fighting 3 weight classes above their best weight.. and didnt really apply too much hard pressure... and didnt volume punch too much either...

He didnt make a 40 year old Roy work, and if you dont Roy can still box your ears off if you give him time to set...

Joe didnt give him that time...

Jones had virtually no hope. Perhaps if he had thrown all caution to the winds after the knockdown he would have had a small window for success, but that just isn't Jones.

Calzaghe had everything to do with that. As much as I dislike Calzaghe, he took it to Roy that night. I still think a prime Roy beats him though, but this thread is kind of ****** to be honest.

In my perspective Roy looked better conditioned in the Calzaghe fight than the Tito fight.. However, his peformance looked ''bad'' against Calzaghe due to Calzaghe's workrate as Reed mentioned and because of a huge cut on a fighter who's never cut.. Roy was in excellent shape against Calzaghe, otherwise he would never have lasted 12 rounds against a fighter who throws over a 1000 punches in a fight with a killer cut and blood constantly flowing down his face and eye.
