Out of every fight people are talkn for floyd of the "4 possible opponents"....cotto beat shane...and we all could agree pac,jmm, hatton would get destroyed by a biggr strongr hard pucnhr like miguel....so why the **** is cotto not on the list...i know he has a june fight vs clottey...but its the fight evryone wants to see...even on espn for the past year and a half...any fightr being interviewed by FNF commentators would be asked about that fight...Larry Merchant of HBO said evry fan in the country that would approach him would say they want cotto vs pbf...and lets face it margs is a cheating P.O.S so it should be 2 undefeated fighters...your thouhgts...

Just to clear something up mate, that list wasn't Floyd's thoughts, it wasn't Team Mayweather's thoughts, it was Richard Schaefer from Golden Boy Promotions... he has nothing to do with Mayweather as a fighter or picking his opponents, he would just offer him fights and negotiation they don't promote him or anything. So that is why, Mayweather or his team didn't say that... Richard Schaefer said that.
See how all the fighters where under Golden Boy Promotions dis including Pacquiao; Mosley, De La Hoya, Ricky Hatton, Marquez. He is just trying to help give his fighters some big money fights and help his company make money... he mentioned Pacquiao because it was an obvious, Cotto isn't with Golden Boy that is why Schaefer didn't include him.

2. What makes cotto so deserving, his appeal....that ppv got like 150 k ppv buys. Maybe it's his skills....he can't even punch and move at the same time. Maybe its the work he has been putting in lately...being broke by margarito and fighting a world beater like jennings.
Yeah he is so deserving and the demand to fight him is higher than ever.
Fact is, he isn't in the position to demand anything. Neither are fans warranted in demanding the top fighter of this era to fight him. There are plenty of people who are more deserving. Now if he is given shot...i'm cool with that, but by no means is he anecessary fight at the moment.Comment

You are implying that PBF vs Cotto is a better fight because Cotto edged out Shane in a close fight. Shane is on top of the world right now and PBF would be a huge fight.
Good chance of it happening as well if PBF wants to fight in the summer and then face Pac-Hatton winner in the fall. Shane doesnt have anything in the summer yet.
Cotto should get another good win to get his name in the mix. PBF has a lot of options. JMM or Shane in the summer and Pac-Hatton winner in the fall. JMM and Shane both are coming off huge KO wins while Cotto has his loss and isnt as marketable as the other guys. Sure Margo probably cheated in the Cotto fight but Cotto needs another decent win to put his name back in the mix.Comment

hmm yeah and Cotto is under Arum still and Arum and PBF dont get along well. Cotto would have a harder time getting a PBF fight than the golden boy guys, Cotto is looking to jump ship soon anyways though over Arums bull****.Comment
