Margarito has a better resume and is the bigger fighters and the BETTER FIGHTER
Do you see Margarito ever getting inducted into the hall of fame?

How many weight classes has Maragrito won at?
Does he have any boxing awards?
What the highest he has reached on the p4p list.

Margarito Resume is pathetic, actually disgraceful. With his resume and his low KO percentage and his award less ass he gets a shot at Cotto.

Split decision loss to Wilfred Benitez. Duran beat him up and Palomino went into acting after that, although he could've still probably continued on with very little chance of beating Hearns, Benitez, Duran and Leonard however.

I do love how people act as though Williams would have no chance in this match up, despite Duran's notorious inconsistency at 147+. It's very difficult to say just how far Williams has come since the first Quintana loss, but he appears to be improving rapidly. Based on his performance against Wright (unless Winky is just completely shot) we should gain a better picture of just where he's headed.

He was inconsistent but I can't see Williams beating a Roberto Duran right now, even with the difference in size.

Williams isn't exactly a smart fighter (as of now), he usually tries to overwhelm opponents by setting a relentless pace without much use for his height.

when you have a mythical matchup, you want the fighters to be the best version of themselves, why put the notoriously inconsistent version of the fighter in a mythical matchup? whats the point?

Rid**** Bowe made very good use of that style and Williams is of the same mold. He's on his way to becoming that sort of fighter. I do agree that he should use his physical advantages more to move into and out of exchanges and to disorient the opponent, but he is an infighter at base and that will not change. In a few more bout we'll have a fuller picture of him as a fighter. Even at this point I feel he is being wildly underestimated. He has shown is able and willing to make adjustments to overcome adversity. Prior to the first Quintana fight I would say he would had absolutely no chance in such a match up, but now I would say he's much more of a question mark who could easily fall among the very best fighters in the world within the near future. Duran obviously still has to be favored, but this shouldn't be seen as a ridiculous, blowout mismatch.

This has to be a wind up, has to be. You didnt seriously just say that Duran could only beat SRL but wouldnt ever have a chance at the likes of Paul Williams.
