Doesn't make any difference IMO. Cortez was **** that night! Every time Hatton and Mayweather got within a foot of each other, he would step in and break it up.

And before people jump on my back, NO, i don't think Cortez was the reason Hatton lost that fight and regardless of what ref was in that ring, Floyd would have more then likely won(which he did anyway). However Cortez's performance overall in that fight was **** IMO, and i don't care if people don't like me saying that.

I stayed up nearly all night to watch that fight and paid good money too, and that bald headed **** fucked it up!

How did he screw it up? Floyd actually fought on the inside with Hatton a LOT. And was beating hatton at his own game.

Almost all of the popular refs have phrases they are known for.

It is still kind of lame. The best ref is the ref you don't notice. Kinda hard when the first thing in a fight is the ref making up some bull**** slogan.

I came to watch a boxing match, not a f**king guy whose f**kin' gameplan is to hold someone with one arm and hit with the other, i'd go to a high school yardfight if I wanna see someone holdin' and hittin', the fact that Fatton relies on his clinching says he really hasn't evolved as a fighter, just a talented one.
