What's your overall thought on Oscar De La Hoya?

He will be remembered as the guy who always fell short during big fights..
bur hats off to him for taking all new comers and always fighting the best, win or lose.
he has the huevos to fight the best which he can lure because of how big his name is.

He lost his biggest challenges and some others, Sturm,Whitaker,Ike, Beat Julio Cesar Chavez while he was old twice.
He is no all time great, but he still is a great fighter, what makes him special is his business sense, the Gold medal, and he is a great opportunist.

If he isn't an ATG, neither is Tito.

As for the thread, yes he is an ATG, just cause he lost some big fights, people judge him for that.

The only reason is was so popular was because he was the first Mexican fighter that spoke english, was marketable and was "good looking". Other than that, he fixed fights, lost every big fight, and treats boxing as his personal play ground.
