    Molitor v Caballero

Molitor v Caballero. I watched this fight today. I finally got around to downloading it, and my thoughts were...........Molitor could not find any rythm in the fight what so ever, because he refused to use the jab. He was looking for counter punching opurtunites, but he was not throwing the left hand to keep Caballero of balance. Result was he ended up on the ropes waay to much taking body shots etc. I have no idea why his corner did'nt tell him to use the jab, it was glaringly obvious that, that was the punch missing from his arsenal of shots, and they could not pick up on it.

I think Molitor was hurt more than once in the fight though. There were a couple of times where he would blink a lot after a taking a shot. I thought to myself is he hurt or what? Maybe dude has a questionable chin?

Actually, Caballero's biggest weakness seems to be that he is an average fighter when fighting inside. In all honesty he didn't seem that impressive to me against Molitor, it was more like Steve just didn't know how to handle that long reach, fighting at range with a 5'11 guy is a big no.

i was pretty well ringside for that fight with my mouth wide open ... i expected a tough fight, a fight that stevie had his work cut out in ... but i didnt expect the one sided fight that that took place ... like u said he was completely outta his element, had not rhythm, no jab and no answers ... his chin now does have to be questioned without a doubt ... i still think hes a talented guy but obviously pretty limited.

caballero was intense that nite ... and from watching him on tv i never expected his punches to be as quick or as hard as they were in person ... they dont look it as much on tv but they were fast whipping hard thudding shots ... el pelenchin really impressed me and totally blew out our only homegrown world ranked fighter wadda u gonna do ... i hope theres a stream of caballeros upcoming fight ... i really cant wait to see him back in the ring.

its true he's beaten on the inside ... thats why molitor was so ineffective cause hes not strong enough or a good enough inside fighter ... i really would like molitor to rebuild and have another go at it ... i heard he's gonna come back but who knows ...
