Floyd has faced far better fighters than HOtto..and Tony..they are NOTHING to fear.

Shane "I have a toothache" Mosely has been avoiding Floyd going back to his days at 135.
fellas fights are fought in the ring and maywaeather has not done that. all the other fighters mentioned in this post have all fought top fighter in the WW division not only top fighters but world class athletes. the only athletic world class guy floyd has fought in the WW's was zab and we all know zab has become some what of a stepping stone. love you zab but got to keep it real, oh and they should have given zab credit for flooring floyd after the right hook made him touch the canvas.

what you're describing sounds a lot like "quitting" to me.....sugarcoat it however you want to tho.

I can't know for certain. all i know is that cotto tried his best and failed to beat margarito and quit. the only way we can know for certain is if cotto beat margo in a rematch, next year after his revocation is up.

If Cotto quit, who cares, he gave us a memorable fight with Margarito. You can't say that about Mayweather, who gave us snoozefest after snoozefest.
          that was simply my point..

Arum was not going to let Floyd ruin his stable.

Arum could have EASILLY made Mayweather/Margarito by SIMPLY CANCELLING THE MANUEL GOMEZ FIGHT soon after Judah lost to Baldomir.

            Get this..

Arum ACTUALLY CLAIMED that he couldn't get out of the Gomez bout!!!!

            Hahahahahahahaha

Only a damn fool believes that.

            Bob chose Gomez over Mayweather..!!!!!!!

Floyd was good but not great. he left the boxing scene at a time when the junior welter to welter weight divison was at the top of the boxing world. why would you retire when there are so many top fighters to fight in the division? i guess it makes it tough to cherry pick.
