The biggest PPVs are successful because they pull in the general audience (Oscar De La Hoya & Mike Tyson). That's why thier numbers are so big. That general audience is also probably the same general audience that gets suckered into buying the UFC's PPVs. There is only so much money people are willing to spend per month on PPV events. That being said, a boxing event will pull in the boxing fans, but the pool of those that are not hardcore fans may be split between the two events.

On the same card? That would be nice. But there is too much ego there, who would main event the card?

Unless floyd announces a comeback out of his own mouth, nobody should be talking about a comeback.

besides, he already announced about a month ago that he is officially retired for good.

                  ppl are just crazy.
ESPN says that Al Haymon has been talking to HBO for a Mayweather come back in july..and earlier this year Ellerbe(Floyds advisor/manager/w.e he is) informed boxingscene that floyd has given him the greenlight on listening to Offers* for a comeback..last but not least..Floyd is coming back man..and soon..

if it were to happen they'd probably make it a double header in two seperate venues like the cotto pavlik one ... bhop can be in the east pbf in the west ... i think pbf would have to go last just for timezone reasons ...

The article said Floyd would like to do it on HBO's World Championship Boxing, which indicates that he probably wants to take a tune up fight. But it also said that the money Floyd wants would almost force the fight to be PPV, which wouldn't be a good move on July 11th unless he was fighting Pacquiao or Oscar again.
Agreed. You gotta make it special to make it PPV. You're ****ed if it ends up like DLH/Pac production wise.

Floyd has to contend with a welter and heavyweight title match PLUS a #1 Middle contender fight PLUS Jon Jones, "Stun Gun" Dong Hyun Kim and a possible "Sexi" Akiyama sighting.

If he wants PPV money, his PPV has got to be PRIDE caliber ****.
