Marquez is much better, but he's still not a threat to Floyd. Just a tune-up. But then, Pacquiao and Cotto would be like tune-ups too.

why is this even worthy of a poll? who in their right mind would think collazo is more dangerous than JMM?

i dont think its a complete given that jmm is the tougher fight ... but after considering it jmm probably would be the tougher fight cause of elite skill and experience vs. youth, size and a considerable amount of talent ...

The two division jump to welterweight from lightweight, where Marquez is kind of new at, makes me dubious about how much of a threat really JMM is.

Collazo isn't very good, but at least he's a bigger guy, and also a southpaw, which PBF has been more hittable against.

division jumping is overrated. about 50% of the divisions were created so that the boxing organizations could make more money off royalties and now boxing fans are actually taking that **** serious as if weight differences really make that much of a difference.

all you need to know is JMM's height, reach and skill. weight has VERY VERY little to do with anything.

Just look at Chagaev vs Valuev. what was that like a 100lbs difference between the two?

gaining 15-20 pounds for JMM won't make a big enough difference to change the fight out come.

If it's 140, then JMM's chances are definitely better. JMM doesn't have to move up as much, as Floyd has to drop down. Not that PBF is a big welter, he's still a little small there, but look at the results of guys in their 30s who've dropped down in weight to a division they hadn't been in some time.

Leonard at 34: back to 154 to fight Norris in 1991, his lowest weight in 7 years, and he gets a beatdown.

De La Hoya at 35: back to 147 to fight Pacquiao, his lowest in 7 years, and he gets a beatdown.

And then there was RJJ at 34. I think Floyd would fare better than them of course, but still, it isn't easy to go back down, small-ish WW or not.

without a doubt marquez is the more skilled and experience fighter between the two but I think luis collazo size would aid him in putting up a better fight than marquez.

I just see a one sided fight in favor of floyd against jmm with the very likely possibility of a sudden k.o. victory for floyd. I feel the size advantage will be to much for jmm to overcome.

Plus collazo southpaw stance and willingness to throw combination's might aid him also to put up an entertaining fight. corely and judah did for the first four rounds against floyd.
