Miguel Cotto fans the biggest hypocrites

Many of Cotto fans are his fans simply because he is Puerto Rican. They have no problem defending any other Rican fighter at any time. Bitching how Collazo(Rican) was robbed. How Santos is the best JR MW and so on. They align with Cotto because of his nationality.
Then all of a sudden, they say PBF fans like Paul Williams because he is black. WTF. Can’t Americans support other American fighters. We don’t support Clottey at all.
The best example I can give you is the 2501. He started a thread once claiming PBF fans like Williams because he was black. Let me use the Arreola example/

Because I'm Mexican American. The way he talks, the way he carries himself is familiar to me because thats an everyday part of my life. When he mentions carne asada and menudo in post fight interviews, I relate to that. But will America relate to it? Will is Mexican American "barrio-ness" alienate other Americans such as African Americans and white Americans?
What I'm asking I guess is, is Chris to Mexican American for America?
