So bring up the fact Paul lost a close decision to Quintana, at least he hasn't been on the canvas before and taken knees and quit vs a guy he schooled.
God you're making me hate Paul Williams. I actually like the guy. When has Cotto called anyone out? That's like saying "when have you heard Cotto call out Clottey". The guy just fights who they put in front of him.

It's your opinion, I respect it, but don't think it's fact just because you think it.

I agree Paul did beat Margarito. Probably the worst Margarito I've seen next to the Mosley fight, but hey it's still impressive. Margarito picked up the pace at the end and if it was 15 rounds it might have played out differently, but yes Williams defintely won the fight. You excuse Williams for looking terrible against an average fighter, but Cotto loses to a top welterweight and he's ****.
Margarito looked horrible because Paul was throwing over 100 punches a round putting angles on him, making him look like an amateur. Cotto circles with his hands down and can only move to his left. He literally moved one way the entire fight with his hands down. Paul would put him on a stretcher, let's be honest here. Cotto is better than Margarito, He is the 2nd or 3rd best WW right now (not including Paul). It's him, Clottey and Mosley. Cotto would batter Pacquiao, Hatton and JMM. I would take him over Mosley in a rematch as well. But he would get crushed by Paul. It would not even be competitive, and I hope the fight happens. So let's disregard that. Oh, Paul won the 12th vs Margarito, so if there was 15 who is to say he would not have won the 13th, 14th and 15th as well. Paul has heart and does not quit. Something we cannot say for your boy Miguel.

Anyways, let's do a bet. 20k on Paul-Winky, and then I'll put that 40k I have after that on Clottey. You down?? Or are you just talking??

If he was the man at WW, his promoter would have put him in vs. Paul Williams.

I hope he leaves Arum and fights Paul. Paul would destroy him. Do not get me wrong, Cotto is a great, exciting fighter. I love his boxing style and his body attack. He is a true warrior, and I like the fact he speaks his mind and is not afraid of Arum's b.s. But, some of the Cotto fans troll Mayweather and Williams threads and embarrass themselves. Cotto is a good fighter, but let's see him beat Clottey. From there, let's see him call out Paul Williams. Guys like Mosley, Cotto and Mayweather fighting little men like Hatton and Pacquiao is a joke. I wonder which WW will have the balls to fight Paul. Clottey probably would, but Arum would never let him. I would love to see Cotto move up to MW and fight Winky.
i think u will realize u r the one over-estimating paul williams-whos resume is pretty thin compared 2 cottos

I was actually just thinking of a bet between us. Can I get some odds on the Winky-Williams fight though? Winky has been dorment for two years. How about if I win that first one you owe me 30k, then I'll put 60 on Cotto to 50 for Clottey. Does that work?

I think cotto or even mayweather for that matter is a ****** fight against williams, he has too much of a height and reach advantage, they would need a ****ing step ladder to hit him, especially cotto.

Paul Williams is an anomaly because he is a freak of nature for being able to actually make ww considering his size. He towered over margarito so how could you expect guys like cotto or floyd fight him. Funny thing is saying all of this I think they could actually outbox Williams because, despite his physical advantages he makes a lot of mistakes.

I think paul will be a better fighter at 154 anyway as he doesn't struggle so much with weight etc.

I think floyd will have big problems with cotto, it would not be straight forward for him at all, the cotto-margarito fight has no bearing on how cotto would fare against mayweather. I think cotto-mayweather would be a good competitive fight which would be hard to score, id favor floyd though

Paul beat Margarito. Jennings ducked him but fought Cotto. He destroyed Quintana in the rematch, giving him a far worse beating than Cotto did. Mosley said himself that Paul is too big and he would not fight him on a Cali radio station after the Margarito fight. Paul stopped Verno, a guy that had not been stopped since 88 when Supreme was running the streets. Now he is fighting Winky Wright. A name far superior to anybody Cotto has ever fought. Nice try.

Calling someone out and being asked who you'd like to fight are two different things.

Cotto said he'd fight Mayweather, Mosley, Margarito, or any other fighter, just get the fight made. Just because he didn't go on a tirade about who he'll beat the **** out of doesn't constitute him as ducking. Floyd on the other hand was asked numerous times on National TV (ESPN & HBO) about a fight with Cotto to the point where he'd say "Next Question" or make excuses about Cotto having to be a CEO.

If the roles were reversed you'd be looking at Cotto as a ducker.
