No, people are basing Prescott's power off his massive KO ratio.

I don't think I've ever seen anyone suggesting Prescott is elite. He is just an up and coming prospect with a good amount of power, but his power is possibly a little overrated.
I think his power is grossly overrated. I really thought he would have blasted Toledo out in under 5 rounds, but Toledo took everything Prescott threw, and was only hurt about 3 times in the entire fight, and Toledo isn't known fr having a good chin.

I know this. I didn't forget it at all, in fact I've mentioned it in other posts. It's the same for Valero.

Prescott. Probably a more even contest than a Khan rematch would be, but Barrera just isn't the fighter he was. In 2009 it is not necessary to be an 'elite' fighter to beat him.

I've only seen about a minute's worth of Prescott, and that was when he knocked out Khan. Apart from that, he's an unknown oddity as far as am concerned.

Barrera is an old fading warrior who is punching above his weight literally at Lightweight IMO. The guys at that weight are too big for him IMO. the fight with Khan showed the size difference and how old and out of prime Barrera is nowadays.

          Am sitting on the fence.

I'm not convinced one bit, except that he can punch. Hard.
Agreed, Although i have watched his last fight also, could still see the power behind them shots but after round 5 they were noway near as devastating as they were in the opening rounds.

Id like to see khan take him on after a fight or 2....im sure roach wil get his defence right n he will outbox prescott

back to the point tho, i think prescott would KO him, he is to youthful and full of energy and berrera as good as he was, hasnt got it anymore...he would land the odd nice punch but would run outa steam after 5th-6th round

You're bugging there, I doubt he can knockout heavyweights. He couldn't even knock out his last opponent who was knocked out by boxers who aren't even hard hitters.

                  I thought Prescott was 6"1?

It's hard to say. In some pics he looks a little taller than Khan, and in other he looks significantly taller.

I saw Prescott's last fight on FNF, he won a DQ because his opponent got frustrated and bit him on the neck. Prescott was nearing a UD in that fight, his power is a bit overrated but he is infact a good fighter. The notion of MAB in 2009 beating Prescott is nothing more than a creative work of fiction.
