Casamayor Injured, Withdraws From Julio Diaz Fight

Casamayor "suffers" back injury during training and is out. By the time this card happens, there will be no one left. JCC might make a return on the card to fill a spot.

      Casamayor Injured, Withdraws From

In the second injury related withdrawal of the show, former lightweight champion Joel Casamayor has cited a sprained lower back and withdrew from his upcoming bout with Julio Diaz, scheduled to take place on the undercard to Golden Boy's pay-per-view "Lightweight Lightning" on April 4 in Austin Texas. About two weeks ago, Jorge Barrios withdrew from his bout with Carlo Hernandez and was replaced by Vicente Escobedo. [details]

Golden Boy is screwed, Barrios, Valero and Casamayor were in their list for this tournament, but now they are all gone.

Wow they should really think about repackaging this event as a free HBO show. It's lost all of it's luster.
