It's Likely that if he felt the need to cheat against the man that Cotto beat.. Then he probably cheated against Cotto too..

Let's say you and 5 of your buddies get together every Friday night and play poker..
Let's say 4 of those guys and you.. are amateur card sharks.. You can do the fancy shuffles know how to play the odds a little.. Figure you have a "system" going.. and your 5th buddy is a bit more clumsy .. keeps asking if 3 of a kind beats 2 pairs .. cant shuffle deck properly .. BUT he always manages to win a bit more often than he should based on his skills..
