According to Nacho Huizar, co-promoter of Cristian Mijares (38-5-2, 19 KOs), a rematch with Nehomar Cermeno (17-0, 10 KOs) will take place in June in Mexico City. Cermeno won a split decision over Mijares on Saturday to capture the interim-WBA bantamweight title. The split decison marked the second loss in a row for Mijares. I rewatched the fight and scored it the same way, 116-112 Mijares. Mijares has to get back to his bread and butter though, the Mijares we have seen in his past 2 fights is the not the Mijares that was beating top guys in his division.

mijares boxed a dumb fight. and man his corner looked for sht.his cut man...
he wouldnt listen to his corner.

cermeno should savor his belt and fight a staybusy fight before taking on mijares again.
the fight was close i thought but leaned towards cermeno because
mijares was being a smart ass.

Mijares didn't fight his typical style but I had the fight in his favor. My scorecard was 116-112.
